Duck Egg Blue Whistling Kettle

I was sourcing duck egg blue whistling kettle months ago right after my electric pot got some plastic smell on the removable lid. This is my third electric pot and I think it is time to change to other method of getting hot water.

Instead of electric kettle, I choose whistling type which can alert me when hot water is ready. And duck egg blue could match perfectly with my new dark blue toaster. With such, there is tone color of our breakfast set.

Duck Egg Blue Whistling Kettle Reviews

This duck egg blue whistling kettle got number of positive reviews. The following are commend from real buyers:
"This looks so good in my kitchen. It's easy to use, durable, and seems to be quality made. I was concerned about touching the whistle pour spout when the water is hot because the other reviewer said it was too hot to touch. I have not found this to be the case at all. Maybe if you leave the kettle whistling on the stove for a long time, then the spout would get hot, but who wants to listen to it whistle for a long time? Also, I like that when you open the pour spout, the metal finger tab presses on to the rubber/hard plastic lining of the lid so it won't scratch. The handle is very easy to hold and pout from."

"Wow! I loved the kettle when I got it,but now I have so much respect to manufacturers! I would give it six stars after what it survived! I left it on the stove (gas one) for 1.5 h (just stupidly forgot before going out of the house). When I came home it turned orange (I bought the green one). I was almost crying, my kid happily announced that I have to buy new one, because it looked awful. It had some burnt spots on the sides, I thought that was enamel burnt and will come off. It started cooling down and slowly turned green back! All those burnt spots were burnt splashes of oil which were invisible until they burned. I just used EasyOff oven cleaner and it is perfectly fine! The only thing got broken is whistle and mainly because I was touching it - the plastic on hinge softened and when I moved it it broke off. But if you just put it back on spout, it whistles when water boiling :). Well, if you ever find yourself in situation like this - do not touch the whistle, it will cool down and will be fine. So, I tried to kill the kettle, but it is alive, still pretty and functional :). So happy I got it!"

"Very nice tea kettle. It replaces an old kettle that had a plastic handle on the side. The plastic finally overheated and broke off into the flame of my gas stove and smelled up the house for days. This won't happen on this kettle! Handle is comfortable, whistle gets gradually louder, and the color yellow is beautiful in my kitchen. I liked this kettle so much I bought one for someone else in my family as a gift."
