"I love this set! This set is meant to replicate a Christmas Tree that a father and his daughter are setting up inside their home. There are transparent-colored Lego pieces that look like tree decorations and the father has a ladder he is using to decorate the higher branches. The little girl is in Christmas pajamas and there are a handful of presents and toys to scatter underneath the tree. All in all, there are a lot of things going on with this set that make it very festive and fun.
I've got a handful of Lego Christmas sets and I set them up each year to create a Lego Christmas village. I put this tree in the middle of my Lego village and it works perfectly as a centerpiece display! It is taller than any other tree I've got in all of my Holiday sets and it stands out boldly. The branches might look "cheesy" when you look at the image on the packaging, but when you actually set it up and place it next to other Holiday sets, it looks fantastic. I almost didn't buy this because it looked a little too fake, but I'm telling you that once it is set up it looks fantastic...better in real life than on the image." By Josh.F.
"The inexpensive set comes with two mini-figures and a Christmas tree along with a ladder, a tiny toy train and presents.
While inexpensive, by no means is this LEGO holiday scene look or feel cheap. This is one of the coolest inexpensive seasonal sets for the Winter holidays.
The instructions were easy to follow and “Decorating the Tree” is fairly easy to put together (less than half an hour) and I can see how this seasonal LEGO release will make for a great stocking stuffer during the holidays (that is, if you can still find it).
LEGO has released many Christmas trees in previous seasonal sets and I like how the tree is utilized with its base, it’s colorful studs as ornaments and the overall tree with gifts underneath it.
The toy train is a nice touch, as the present with a letter and another with a bow, but I just enjoy how “Decorating the Tree” catches that Christmas spirit of sharing the love on Christmas and this case, two mini-figurines that add a charming touch to this seasonal release.
The female figure has print on both sides, while the male figurine is wearing a checkered shirt which is only on the front side.
As for LEGO bricks, there is nothing truly unique to this Lego Christmas set but I will say that my favorite piece is the folding ladder, which can easily be re-used in other sets.
