"I love that LEGO added a twist to this particular set, with the Halloween theme going on.
It definitely makes my kids even more excited for the holiday. This is an excellent set for my kids, since it not to large & overwhelming.
I absolutely LOVE the little "Skeleton figure" I think that is the cutest part of it all."
LEGO Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle
It's time for the final showdown with the Vampyre. He has gathered all 6 moonstones at his castle and is about to cloak the world in darkness forever so that his followers can roam free for the rest of eternity.
Will our heroes Dr. Rodney Rathbone and Jack McHammer survive the castle's hidden spikes and traps to disable the moonstone device? Or will the Vampyre's bride and the manbats throw them into the castle dungeon? You decide.
There are 6 mini-figures included: Rodney Rathbone, Jack McHammer, the Vampyre, the Vampyre's bride and 2 manbats. It was recommended for kids who age 9 years old and above but there is a parent bought for his son who just 4 years old:
"We got this for our four year old son. It was a bit complex for him to put together, but he helped where he could. It was great putting it together and he plays with it almost daily (even 6 months later). The extra benefit is he now helps rebuild it and is getting quite good at figuring out how to put the complex pieces together.
I definitely recommend this since it come with so many pieces that can be played with together or independently. I also think Legos are a great way to teach kids problem solving, how to follow instructions and more importantly how not to follow instructions and use their imagination."
LEGO Monster Fighters Haunted House
The crooked Haunted House is home to the scariest ghosts and monsters. Tremble in fear as you open the gate. Then go weak at the knees as you step onto the porch and gasp in horror at the fireplace, kitchen, drawing office, folding staircase, bedroom, potion room and music room.
This Lego Halloween haunted house package includes a collection of creepy objects. It comes with 6 mini-figures: 2 glow-in-the-dark ghosts, Vampyre, Vampyre's Bride, Zombie chef and butler.
There is an owner feedback:
"This is one of the best LEGO kits produced, ever. It may not be UCS Millenium Falcon good, but it's definitely in the top five. It is one of the few that when it was announced my non-LEGO friends all mentioned how much they wanted it. However, due to its expense, few have actually purchased it. I bought it the day it came out. Built it a few days later. Displayed it all through Halloween and have since bought a few more for investment.
Yes, you read that right. Investment. Understand, this is one of the most popular LEGO kits ever sold -- among LEGO enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. There would be a lot of demand after it goes out of production if that were the only thing it had going for it. But in the immortal words of Billy Mays: "BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!" This is just a fantastic build. The construction is well thought out with lots of detail throughout. There's junk in the attic, there's a folding staircase, a record player, a detailed little kitchen, broken steps, boarded up windows, and just a ton of ambiance. Plus, it opens in half so that you can really show it off -- or play with it, if that's your preference.
Did I mention how big this kit is? At 2064 pieces, it's one of the largest LEGO kits, there's only a handful that are bigger. It's impressive when built and has some impressive weight to it. A lot of the pieces are in the rare Sand Green color as well. It works well as a Halloween decoration. It's also the same size as the very popular and extremely collectible Modular Buildings set, which means that although it's not in the same line, it integrates well, and how often do you have the opportunity to add a Haunted House to your LEGO street?
In short, this is a set that just has tremendous upside. You can buy it, build it, display it, and it will still never be worth less than the price you pay for it today. Keep the box and instructions, or better yet, keep it all sealed in the box, and you'll be able to flip this for good profit in a year or two."
